We make hassocks which commenced in September 1994. They are made to glorify God and to beautify the church and to remind people of Christ's death and Resurrection for us.
All eight altar hassocks have been made and the prayer hassocks also. There are 24 pew hassocks but many more are needed, can you please help? We are willing to supply all the equipment, training and advice. It is a worthwhile project and benefits many people in the church. We also work in knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch and tapestry.
We often work on our own projects but sometimes we do special projects and these have included the following:-
We have knitted hats, mitts and soft toys e.g. Topsy Turvy dolls, and given gifts and donations to Operation Christmas Child.
We have made Teddy bears and vests for sick children in third world countries for Medical Missions and St Johns.
We have knitted hats, mitts, socks and blanket squares for an orphanage in Bulgaria.
We have made jackets for premature babies for the new-born appeal, Liverpool.
